Enrhythmizer is a sound processing software for experimenting with sounds and their modulations. You can take any sound and modulate it in virtually any concievable way.

When you start the Enrhythmizer, you will see the following screen. The gray band in the upper part is to plot the original sound. On start-up, it is empty.

You can load the sound as a .wav- file. Use “Load” button – the second form the left in the bottom row.

Alternatively, you the Enrhythmizer can generate a sound for you. When you click “Create” – button, a small window is shown. There you can specify a desired sound parameters.

For the parameters shown on the screenshot above, noise will be generated. See the screenshot below. If you need to generate a sine wave, set the “Band” value to zero.

Next, you need to prepare the modulation pattern, which is plotted in the dark gray area in the middle of the GUI. There are 3 buttons to the right of the pattern graph. “Load” – button lets you to use existing patterns  (.env-files).

Alternatively, you can generate a pattern yourself – by moving the mouse over the gray area. Self-generated pattern can be stored with the help of “Save” – button.

Test” – button is used for TODO.

Sound Processing and Playback

Once both sound and pattern are prepared, you can select the desired modulation type. Supported types are shown in the menu to the right of the GUI.

Now, you can perform sound processing – just click  “Rhythm” – button. For the parameters shown above, we will get the following result:

Now you can listen to the result. Turn on your speakers and click “Play“‘ – button. If you like what you just heard, the “Save” – button next to it will help you store your job.
